Gwangjang traditional Market
I took the subway to the Gwangjang Market 廣藏市場 to taste Korean street food, such as Mayak gimbap – rice rolls 紫菜包饭, Bindaetteok – mung bean pancake (綠豆肉煎餅),dumplings (餃子), fish cake soup 韓式魚板湯(關東煮), etc. I negotiated to pay for smaller servings so to taste more kinds.By the way. I tasted Soondae (Sundae) – blood sausage (血米腸)yesterday. Not the same as the Korean food I had back in Washington DC.
Gwangjang Market, previously Dongdaemun Market, is a traditional street market in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. The market is one of the oldest and largest traditional markets in South Korea, with more than 5000 shops and 20,000 employees in an area of 42,000 square metres. On my way there, I stopped by a platform to overlook the National Shrine.
