Pondicherry, a touristy beach town

We arrived at Pondicherry (also known as "Pondy"), a touristy beach town after almost 5-hr bus ride. The old town was less dusty and no garbage burning, so my throat feels much better than in Trichy. I was having a cold and coughed a little, but feel much better now. We saw a lot western tourists here and the food prices are at least 30% higher than Trichy.

After checking in the hostel, we had seafood lunch and walked around town To see Mahatma Gandhi Statue on Beach Road, the French Quarter, the Barathi Park / Government park, etc. I tried the most popular beer in south India: BIRA 8% 650 ml by myself and barely made back to the hostel. I love this clean and relaxing town!
