Sigiriya: 8th Winder of the World
Judie has travelled 118 counties (almost double my count) and works as a freelancer in Japan. Sue has his own company.
I toured with two Japanese hostel mates Sigiriya ancient rock fortress located near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka, and refereed by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high. After a quick lunch, we took a bus to Kandy.
