From London via New Delhi to Colombo, Sri Lanka
The airplane of Air India was old which reminds me those old American school buses (“chicken buses”) end up in Central America. I wonder if old airplane are sold by developed country operators to developing country operators, such as Air India. I saw two toilets were patched with dock taps. My neighbor’s video player simply broke from home screen, and my froze half via a movie. Well, the staff were causal and friendly. Srilanken Air has Breyer planes and movie player, and the food was as spicy as Southern Indian.
I am glad that I survived this 30-hr 3-leg journey from Washington DC to Colombo, Sri Lanka. I was so tired that I forgot my USA SIM card at the terminal Airtel booth, so I had to walk twice the 1.4 miles round trip to near by Awariwatta bus station in order to take bus going to Negombo.
I am in such a feeding feast that United Airline fed me a dinner and a breakfast during a 7-hr flight from IAD to London, after 2-hr layover, Air India fed me another breakfast and a lunch during an 7-hr flight from London to New Delhi. United airlines only served free white and red wine, while Air India additionally serves free brandy and whiskey.
